Save As MHTML loses custom document properties.

I am opening an Office 2003 compatible MHTML file in Office 2007. When I
save this file in Offfice 2007, it loses the custom document properties.
Also the file format is totally different.
Are there any major changes in the .mhtml for in 2003 and 2007?
Please reply ASAP.
