Excel 2000 - Macro Short Cut Key

I have created two Macros to update Workbooks. MonthlyUpdateCreditors
and MonthlyUpdateDebtors. Each has Ctrl+U as the Shortcut. Both work
properly if Tools, Macro, Run is selected. The keyboard shortcut works
with MonthlyUpdateCreditors bit not with MonthlyUpdateDebtors.

Why might this be?

TIA

The shortcut will activate the first macro in the collection if it
