I have a sheet in excel with a list of people and their wages. On another sheet, I would like to start typing the name of the person and have something like an auto-complete feature from the list of people and their wages, so that I can easily pick the person I want. How can this be done in excel? Thanks a lot for your help, --j |

Hi John!
One way is use VLOOKUP-function. Regards, Kari J Keinonen |

no, but you can pick the name from a list using data =Validation.
to use an offsheet list as the source, you would first have to create a named range (insert=Name=Define) that refers to it, then use that name range as the source of your data validation. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "John" wrote in message ups.com...
