File Object properties for Photos...
Hi Neily,
There's a useful dll you can download from he http://members.cox.net/foxbat121/exifview.html Included in the zip file is some sample vb code you could adapt. Cheers -- macropod [MVP - Microsoft Word] "Neily" wrote in message ... When I put photos from my Canon camera onto my computer, I hover the cursor over the file and it tells me the model of the camera and the "Date Taken" the date the photo was taken on. Now I messed about and found File Object code... Sub ShowFileInfo(filespec) Dim fs, f, s Set fs = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") Set f = fs.GetFile(filespec) s = f.DateCreated MsgBox s End Sub ...and found I could return the file attributes such as Date Created and Date Modified. Does anyone know if there is a way to bring back the Date Taken attribute from my image files taken with my camera. Ta. Neily again. |

Hi Neily,
Now that you've done that, take a look at the workbook I developed yesterday using EXIFView. It's at: http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/show...?Number=618967 Cheers -- macropod [MVP - Microsoft Word] "Neily" wrote in message ... Thanks Macropod, Very useful. Managed to work out that you need to register the dll file in the Tools References dialog within the VBA tools.
