Validation question - allow -500%, 0%, "=50%*50%" but forbid "A", "", " ", "-" ?
Hi,
I have cells that had to be figures because they are used in another cells calculation. How can I restrict user from putting words/letters or null into it. Formulas is ok. I have tried Validation, but can't make it suit the case. I need to allow -500%, 0%, 500%, "=50%*50%" but forbid "A", "", " ", "-" etc a user could think of and would ruin the other cells formula. Validation seem not to support this. Anyone could lend me a brain, or perhaps give an idea? /Regards Tskogstrom |

Use a formula of =ISNUMBER(A1)

Thank you Bob,
Any idea how to restrict from empty cells also? Seems I bit harder to solve. /Regards Tskogstrom Bob Phillips skrev: Use a formula of =ISNUMBER(A1) -- HTH Bob Phillips (replace somewhere in email address with gmail if mailing direct) "tskogstrom" wrote in message ups.com...
