Identfy missing references

I would like some help writing a procedure that would identify what
references are missing in the active workbook. Sometimes when I get help from
all of you, I get the dreaded invalid....msg. I use Office 2003, XP and 2000
depending on what class I am teaching. Thank you very much.

I assume you mean the .dll or library file references. They can be accessed
on the VBE menu bar. Press Alt + F11 to open the VBE, then on the VBE menu
bar, ToolsReferences. The error message should indicate the particular
library it needs, however, if it does not, Just see if all of the ones for
your version of Excel have been checked and since you use both 2000 and 2003
you would need to have both of them checked on the set that runs 2003. I
doubt that the one that runs 2000 would have any 2003 library files.

For more information, see "Set Reference to a Type Library" in the VBE Help
by typing Reference Library in the search box and enter. Then select from
the list of options that come up.
