Reverse Engineer Pivot Table
Is there a way to determine the source of individual cell values in a pivot
table? Thanks. |

Double-click on the cell. The data that makes up that piece of info will be
dumped into a new spreadsheet. The other method, if you're connected to a data source that's not in the workbook, is to use the Back button on the Pivot Table Wizard, then select Get Data. -- Toby Erkson http://www.bidata.net/ "CurtB" wrote in message ... You can get the source of the database that the pivot table uses but not an
individual cell. -- HTH, Gary Brown If this post was helpful to you, please select ''YES'' at the bottom of the post. "CurtB" wrote: Is there a way to determine the source of individual cell values in a pivot table? Thanks. |

The double-click option produced a lot of output. Now I just need to
evaluate it. The Excel worksheet is rather complex. Thank you for your help. "Toby Erkson" wrote: Double-click on the cell.
