Macro list in Tools - Macro
When I select Tools - Macro from any worksheet it displays a list of the
macros in the workbook. I am curious to know why some macros in my list , all in a particular module have the name of the module preceding the macro name. e.g "Module3.MyMacro" rather than just "MyMacro" . In all the other 20 or so macros I have in a variety of other modules, the name of the module does not appear. Everything runs ok but is it hiding a potential problem. Thank you |

I checked for that but it was not the case. I have since remedied the problem
by renaming the macros. They all started with "StorePr" followed bt a 4 letter code e.g StorePrAMXZ. When I renamed them to test1, test2 etc it solved the problem. As did StorePr_AMXZ. If I change the name back to StorePr followed by the 4 letter code I once again get the module name preceding the macro name. It's a mystery but it doesn't matter now. I can only think that maybe Store is a reserved word and should not be used as a prefix to a macro name. Thanks for replying.
