Workbook takes a long time to open (calculating), why?

I have a workbook with some VB code and about 20 worksheets which all
contain similar information, nothing lengthy. A few days ago it
started taking a long time to open and close even though I have no
routines loading for those events. In the lower left I can see
"calculating". What should I check? Can't find anything unusual....
