First time a WinUser uses Spotlight
 

I bought my niece a G5 iMac.

Over the telephone I stepped her through recording video from a
camcorder.

To open iMovie I said "click on the magnifying glass icon at the upper
right and type iMovie and click on the iMovie icon".

She said "Is that how you open applications on a Mac? That's all there
is to it?" Her exact words.
