INDIRECT Function
Following is an excerpt from one of my workbooks. When I use the SUM
function directly on an intersection of data, it works fine. When I use INDIRECT, it works for a single-range field, but not a multiple range field. I am unaware of any restrictions. Formula Formula Text 25.04 =SUM(Hour04!DENA Hour04!TOTAL) Hour04!DENA 25.04 =SUM(INDIRECT(D3) Hour04!TOTAL) Hour04!TOTAL #REF! =SUM(INDIRECT(D3) INDIRECT(D5)) 125.03 =SUM(Hour04!TOTAL) #REF! =SUM(INDIRECT(D5)) -340 =SUM(Hour04!DENA) 125.03 =SUM(Hour04!TOTAL) Name Definition DENA =Hour04!$B:$L TOTAL =Hour04!$E:$E,Hour04!$P:$P,Hour04!$AA:$AA Thanks. |
