Excel 12 and BIFF Format for new .xlsx files

Hello

I was wondering if there will be a new BIFF9 or something format for the
..xlsx files that are creating using the new Excel 12 or 2007.

I have an application that reads and writes BIFF3-BIFF8 files, so I would
like to know if a new format is created and if there is any documentation
available that I can check in order to update my application so it can be
ready for the new Excel.

thanks so much !
