Disabling a range of cells

I would like user to be able to go to worksheet "x". I would like for the
user to be UNABLE to select range a1:b4 and be UNABLE to activate any of the
indivdual cells in that range.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

In Sheet "x", unlock those cells which you want the user to be able to select
- maybe all except A1:B4. Now protect the sheet, and under the protection
options, untick the Select locked cells option.

Kassie,
Thank you very much for a simple solution to an issue that I figured would
have a complicted answer.

Note: this is only working in 2002 and up

You can do it with code in 97-2000
