xl* object definitions ??
Hi all;
Asked this question a few days ago and got no response. Perhaps I mis-pharased it, so I will try again. When I am in the macro IDE object browser I am shown many Excel 10.0 Library objects beginning with xl* (eg. xlTop, xlLastCell). When I use the Help Assistant or the '?' on the browser I get a "No Help Available" message box. All I am looking for is a quick definition of what each object is, or is used for. Is there truly "No Help Available", or is there something I have to download, add or open to get some 'help'? Obviiously, the Microsoft Excel 10.0 Object Library has been selected in References. I have done my due diligence by searching the Microsoft site and googling. Perhaps, I am mis-posing the question and therefore getting no answers. In any case, could someone confirm that xl* help is or is not available, and if it is, tell me how I can get it? |

They are not 'object definitions' but named Constants. An extremely long
thread here, it took some explaining! http://tinyurl.com/gqf99 Regards, Peter T "Bill Case" wrote in message ... Hi all; Asked this question a few days ago and got no response. Hi Peter;
Thanks, your answer was very helpful. Two further things: I have never entered a features request for Microsoft befo Is it worth doing on this topic? As a newbie to Excel Macros, let me assure that frustration abounds as it will with any new programming language; unneccessary frustration should be removed. The answers given in the posting that you provide me could easily be written up and attached to help requests through the Object Browser. Should I bother asking for that as a feature? I have never entered a features request for Microsoft befo Is it worth
doing on this topic? Afraid I have no idea! Would do no harm to try, possibly include links both to this and the thread I referred you to. FWIW a while back I tried to report a bug (yes a real bug) and there's been no mention of it since. Anyway, pleased at least that long thread has been of benefit to someone else!
