run time error
I got a macro earlier and I try it and get a runtime error? The purpose of
the code is to hide entire rows if a 0 value is with in the specified range of cells. Also I would like it to be in the form of a check box. If the box is checked it hides the rows and if it is unchecked it shows the rows with a value of 0 in them. The help I received earlier was greatly appreciated, just want it to work... For Each cell In Range( "AL35:AL609") cell.Entirerow.Hidden = cell.Value = 0 Next cell Thanks, Sean |
run time error
Sean ,
Add a check box to you sheet or form and put the code in: Private Sub CheckBox1_Click() If CheckBox1.Value = True Then For Each cell In Range("AL35:AL609") cell.EntireRow.Hidden = cell.Value = 0 Next cell Else For Each cell In Range("AL35:AL609") cell.EntireRow.Hidden = False Next cell End If End Sub Sean wrote: I got a macro earlier and I try it and get a runtime error? run time error
Thanks for the help, however I put in the following and once again get a run
time error "object required" when I debug it highlights the "IF CHECKBOX16_CLICK.VALUE" line. Sub CheckBox16_Click() If CheckBox16_Click.Value = True Then For Each cell In Range("AL35:AL609") cell.EntireRow.Hidden = cell.Value = 0 Next cell Else For Each cell In Range("AL35:AL609") cell.EntireRow.Hidden = False Next cell End If End Sub "stevebriz" wrote: Sean , Add a check box to you sheet or form and put the code in: Private Sub CheckBox1_Click() If CheckBox1.Value = True Then For Each cell In Range("AL35:AL609") cell.EntireRow.Hidden = cell.Value = 0 Next cell Else For Each cell In Range("AL35:AL609") cell.EntireRow.Hidden = False Next cell End If End Sub Sean wrote: I got a macro earlier and I try it and get a runtime error? run time error
My guess is cannot find checkbox16? ensure the check box on the sheet (
or form ) is checkbox16 and not checkbox 1...or something else If this fails add a new check box and and add the code to its click. and mod the If statement to reflect the name of the checkbox Please let us know how you get on.
