Cell format changes when a saved sheet is opened on another machine

Hi All,

I created a sheet programatically with cell format as Number and
negative numbers to be displayed in red and brackets. This works fine
on my machine. However, when the sheet is opened on another machine,
negative numbers are not displayed in the required format. The version
of excel on the other machine is exactly the same as on my machine.
Any clue to why this happens ? is there any setting that we have to
change/set programatically so that the format of the excel sheet
remains universal ?
Thanks,

Mandar.

Further more, i realize that only the format of "calculated" cells
changes. negative numbers in cells for which values are just written
into (not calculated) are displayed correctly in brackets. Thus, format
for only the calculated cells changes.
