Help! I can't get a spreadsheet to open

Have tried EVERYTHING - it keeps saying that I don't have access - AND
I was the one who created it - any suggestions?

Hi,

I don't know if this will work, but have you tried renaming the file
and tried opening that. Just a thought.

All the Best.

tried it - tried renaming the file extension - tried copying it - tried
transferring it - tried just "viewing" it with a viewer - it stops me

did you try opening it in safe mode?

type this into the run box

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.exe" /s

then try to open the file

thanks guy - alas it didn't work

the file keeps stating "can't access - read only" when i try to open it
- and when I try to change the preferences on the file (un-indexing,
etc.), it prevents me from doing it - so I'm at a loss -
