Find Select Macro
Hi All, I've checked around and I think what I need is a macro. I'm not sure if it's a sheet specific macro, or workbook, but I think its sheet. I dont know how to write it though and I was hoping you could help. I have a very large file that has a number of unique id's. Each of these unique id's is located in Sheet1. On Sheet2, the Unique ID appears a a row with detailed information. I would like to be able to click on the unique id in Sheet1 and have it find the ID in Sheet2 and show that information to me. The issue is, as time goes on, more ID's will be added so the a singe cell reference will no suffice, otherwise I would use the Hyperlink function. If at all possible, I would like it to create a temp sheet or show all of the reference data on a blank sheet so it is easy to read. Otherwise, just finding the information in Sheet2 will suffice. Any ideas? -- mkerstei ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mkerstei's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=25688 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=568130 |
