How do I add periods at the end of each text string that will not exceed the
character length of the column width? I am linking the spreadsheet to a
Pagemaker file. What I need would look like this:

Part# Price/LB Price/Unit
SST1220....................1.20............45.00

kjm5775, maybe a custom format,

try and use a custom format: @*. This will fill all the space after the last
letter with periods, so if you put Test in a cell it will look like this.
Test..................

And a custom format of:
*.0.00
worked ok for non-negative numbers for me.
(for the leaders)
