XMLSS/SpreadsheetML or HTML format for large data files
I need to export large data volumes for use in Excel on clients pc's. I have been looking at XMLSS/SpreadsheetML, and HTML but am confused by the differences and which versions of Excel support the formats. Would I need Excel XP (2000/2002/2003) to support all 3 formats? Are there differences between SpreadsheetML 2000, 2002, and 2003? The reference schema appears to have a different xsd for each. I can't find any documentation on the html format. Is there a reference somewhere? Is use of SpreadsheetML to be preferred over html?
