Inconsistant formatting of Userform Textbox and Spreadsheet storage format

In an application (in progress) one of my Userform controls (a textbox)
for Comments --
I have property setting as follows:
EnterKeyBehavior = True
Multiline = True
ScrollBar = 2 (Vertical only)
Height = 35
Width = 366
Word Wrap = False

In one of my spreadsheets where this info is stored I have the code:
(where Col P is my Comments Text)

Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()
Columns("P:P").WrapText = True
Columns("P:P").Columns.AutoFit
Columns("P:P").ColumnWidth = 55
Range("A1").CurrentRegion.Rows.AutoFit
End Sub

My Col P looks hideous (see below)
"sadfsadfsdf << each of these lines has the sqbox linefeed character
following
sadfsadf
sadfsdf
sdf
sdkflsakf
a;sdlkjf;alskfd
"

What should I change to bring this more into harmony?
Any pointers appreciated.
