macro problem???
 

I store my macros in my personal.xls. I am doing something during the
course of the day that links other workbooks to my personal.xls. When
I go to use my macro all those other books open first. My macros won't
run without those workbooks open Anybody have any idea what I am doing
wrong????

That depends on what your macros does and what you recorded.

Sounds like the macro recorder recorded you opening these files.
