UserForm to Hide/Unhide Rows
I have a budgeting template that contains several dozen potential line
items of which only ten or so might be used on a given model. I'd like to build a series of UserForms that would prompt the user to select the line items that should be shown (assuming the others are hidden). Due to the format of the sheet, I don't want to use DataFilters. I'm not quite sure how to approach this since I don't have a lot of UserForm experience. Therefore, any direction and sample code would be appreciated. I was thinking something like the following. Build a simple UserForm with a ListBox which is tied to a Range in the sheet. Let's say that range is named JobGrades_lst. Initialize the form and preselect all items that correspond to a non-hidden row. (Not sure how to do this.) Hidden rows would not be selected but would still show on the form. Allow user to select and deselect in the form. When the form is closed, the appropropriate rows are hidden or unhidden. Any comments on this approach? How about examples and/or alternatives. - John |
