I have a situation where I want to match 5,000 part numbers in one workbook
against a seoarate 10,000 master part number workbook, copy two cells from
the matched row and paste them in the original workbook row. The search would
also be a loop for the 5,000 workbook.

Where can I find an example of this type of VB coding? I have used the
"Help" from VB whic is good but am still confused. Do I need to be an expert
in VB to accomplish this task?
Would appreciate any suggestions.
Ed

Hi Ed Try using Excel's VLookup function.

See Excel's help or see Debra Dalgleish's tutorial at:

Hi Norman,
Thanks for the reply and it looks like this approach will be a good method
to try. I will try it tomorrow and report back.
