Excel: = sign keeps coming up when i enter 7/1 for date
There is a bug in my file. When i enter "7/1" for a date of July 2006, i get
"7" instead. Looking at the formula bar shows "=7/1". When i go to format the cell to date, i get "January 1900". It seems to be happening to 4 of 9 sheets in the work book and in all cells. |

Hi Brandon,
I could only reproduce your problem if I inadvertently prefixed my entry with an equals sign. --- Regards, Norman "BrandonAma" wrote in message ... There is a bug in my file. Try:
tools|options|Transition tab|uncheck Transition Formula Entry (I'd turn off all those options.) BrandonAma wrote: There is a bug in my file.
