Definitive Guide to User Forms
Hello kind helpers,
I am looking for the definitive guide to creating user forms with VBA (of course) in Excel 2003. Anyone found any good sources? I want every nook and crany written about, exposed and lots of helpful creative ways of creating. I want to be able to create monster user forms, transfer lots of data to spreadsheets, and basically become an expert with this one book/source alone. Thanks, Nicole |
Definitive Guide to User Forms
The most you are going to get from Books is probably going to be the basics.
And really for most uses that is all you need. However, you don't need to buy a book to get that information. http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/tips/tip84.htm See this tutorial here http://www.dicks-blog.com/excel/2004...g_userfor.html http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;829070 How to use Visual Basic for Applications examples to control UserForms in Microsoft Excel XL97: How to Use a UserForm for Entering Data (Q161514) http://support.microsoft.com/?id=161514 XL2000: How to Use a UserForm for Entering Data (Q213749) http://support.microsoft.com/?id=213749 Here are some other sources of information: http://www.microsoft.com/ExcelDev/Articles/sxs11pt1.htm Lesson 11: Creating a Custom Form Excerpted from Microsoft® Excel 97 Visual Basic® Step by Step. http://support.microsoft.com/?id=168067 File Title: Microsoft(R) Visual Basic(R) for Applications Examples for Controlling UserForms in Microsoft Excel 97 File Name: WE1163.EXE File Size: 161742 bytes File Date: 05/08/97 Keywords: kbfile Description: This Application Note is an introduction to manipulating UserForms in Microsoft Excel 97. It includes examples and Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications macros that show you how to take advantage of the capabilities of UserForms and use each of the ActiveX controls that are available for UserForms Peter Aiken Articles: Part I http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en...FormsPartI.asp Part II http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en...ormsPartII.asp And I am sure there are more out there. Expertise is built through experience - which includes reading others thoughts on the topics. If you want to see some powerful things you can do with userforms beyond the basics, you can download Stephen Bullen's formfun workbook. (the code is accessible). http://www.oaltd.co.uk/Excel/Default.htm And also look at the two (actually 3, two versions of the programmer's reference and his latest, the Professional Developers book) books he has coauthored There are links on the site as well. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Nicole Seibert" wrote: Hello kind helpers, I am looking for the definitive guide to creating user forms with VBA (of course) in Excel 2003.
