Default accessing/reading vba macro without enabling macros

I have a macro in my XLS file that is taking 100% of my CPU - I think
it is a bug in my code. When I open the XLS, Excel freezes up and I
have to kill it from task manager. I would like to open the XLS file
and disable the code, but be able to look at it and edit it (and
comment out any offending lines, or at least copy my code to the
clipboard). However if I disable macros upon opening Excel, it won't
let me even see my code. How can I view my code without running?
