ComboBox Problem
I have a workbook which contains 5 sheets all with 3 comboboxes that popup
over a cell when selected. The user then selects from the lists, which are defined names from 2 lookup sheets. The code for the 3 combo boxes is identical in each sheet and all combox1 's use the the same defined array in the lookup sheets and so on for the other 2. The user can add to the array used in the ComboBox by clicking a CommandButton that takes them to the lookup sheet concerned. Anyway the problem I am having is if any one of the comboboxes is left on a cell where a selection was made (this applies to all 5 sheets) and the user hits the command button to take them to the lookup sheet to add to the available list, when an entry is typed into a cell within the range of the array and the enter key is hit, the value of the cell where the combobox was left (in any of the 5 sheets) appears in the cell removeing the value that has just been entered. This is really annoying. Currently I have advixed the users to 'park' the combobox over a blank cell and don't make a selection. This has to be true for all 5 sheets. Is there a property in the combobox of a bit of code I can add to stop this from happening A question has just come to mind - if the code for the combo boxws was contained in the 'This Workbook' section of the VB project, would that negate the need to duplicate the code in each sheet? So I could still have combox1 on the 5 pages but only have one instance of the control code. I appologise if this doesn't make sense (I've just come in from woking nights!!!). Please let me know if anything need clarifying. Thanks in advance for any help offered. |
