Convert and Extract?
OK folks, not sure if I am in the correct area for this but here goes! I get a spreadsheet on a monthly basis of orders with about 60 columns of data for each record (usually about 10,000 records/rows). I have to (manually:( ) copy and paste about half of the columns into a new sheet and rename the headers to make ready for an upload into my system. As the orders are completed I download the results back out of my system (weekly), and put them back into a spreadsheet. Starting to suck now.... Last but not least I (manually:( ) crosscheck the original spreadsheet sent to me, with the downloaded spreadsheet, and extract the completed records from the original and place both records side by side (on the same rows) in a third sheet for the final report! I usually search one by one with the job #s to match records. A lot of crap, I know, but that is why I come here for some much needed help/advice from the pros! Any suggestions are very welcomed, Thanks! -- egeorge4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ egeorge4's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=30259 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=541316 |
