ok. but my formula allways searches for the first record that maches my
criteria. how can i make it go to the second record that maches my criteria? this is the formula that i used: =VALUE(IF(ISERROR(TRIM(IF(AND($I$1<"",$F6<""),IF (AND($F6<"",$B6<""),INDEX(T_BAZA2,MATCH(CFC2,C_C OMPLET2,0),14),""),""))),"",TRIM(IF(AND($I$1<"",$ F6<""),IF(AND($F6<"",$B6<""),INDEX(T_BAZA2,MATC H(CFC2,C_COMPLET2,0),14),""),"")))) Thank You and please help |

Based on your question, I think you require a SUMPRODUCT formula

is there a different way, with a macro maybe, because this does not work

Maybe you could use the technique that Chip Pearson shows for the arbitrary
lookup: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/lookups.htm Hasty wrote: ok. but my formula allways searches for the first record that maches my criteria. how can i make it go to the second record that maches my criteria? this is the formula that i used: =VALUE(IF(ISERROR(TRIM(IF(AND($I$1<"",$F6<""),IF (AND($F6<"",$B6<""),INDEX(T_BAZA2,MATCH(CFC2,C_C OMPLET2,0),14),""),""))),"",TRIM(IF(AND($I$1<"",$ F6<""),IF(AND($F6<"",$B6<""),INDEX(T_BAZA2,MATC H(CFC2,C_COMPLET2,0),14),""),"")))) Thank You and please help -- Dave Peterson |

Ps. If you don't get a good answer here, try posting your question with the
formula in the .worksheet.functions newsgroups. Those people over there are very smart and eat these things for breakfast!
