command for adding value in excel sheet
 

hi frds,
i hv 1 prob... i want to add value in (cell)sheet of excel
file(which is already thr) without opening that file..

is it possible?? if yes then is there any command for that(e.g any
command like dos,shell etc). plz help me

Not that I know. Excel is the only program I know which is able to insert
data in an existing Excel file. I know the existence of many programs that
can create Excel files from scratch, without actually running Excel itself,
but editing existing ones, I never saw anything so far.

Note that Excel is an OLE automation server since version 5!
