Refresh external data
 

the shortest refresh internal Excel offer is 1 minutes. However, i
would like to refresh external data for every 15 seconds. Does any one
know how to do that

Look at Chip Pearson's page on the Ontime command

http://www.cpearson.com/excel/ontime.htm

You could have it execute a macro that issues the appropriate refresh command.

Just note that ontime is not preemptive.
