how to link an Access Database from excel if it required a passwor
Access user security is a bit of a pain. You not only need to have the user
name and password, you need to be logged into the proper workgroup for the database. If not logged into the workgroup the external data interface to Access will connect as if a member of the Users user group (as set up within the database). So the solutions are to make sure the table(s) you need are listed in the Users group permissions, or to set up a workgroup file and have the user who will be running the report log in to the workgroup.
