Add-In Madness
 

I recently built myself a new computer and I'm in the process of reinstalling
everything, and also copying over my old data (workbooks, etc).

I used the Microsoft File & Settings Transfer wizard which mostly did a pretty
good job, although I've got lots of other stuff to copy over manually.

In any event, when I open some Excel Workbooks on the new machine, it seems
that the references to ATP functions are replaced by full path name references
to these same functions.

Here is an example:

='C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office10\LIBRARY\Analysis\A TPVBAEN.XLA'!
workday('C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office10\LIBRARY\Ana lysis\ATPVBAEN.XLA'!
edate($D$4,ROWS($1:22))-1,1,Holidays)

This also occurs even if I open a workbook on the old machine with my new
machine.

Find/Replace was able to remove these full path references and get things
working correctly.

On another workbook, I was able to edit the link source and replace it with the
above reference, and the full path names in the worksheet disappeared, leaving
only the reference to the VBA function.

The error message after asking to update links, is "This workbook contains one
or more links that cannot be updated". But the path to ATPVBAEN.XLS seems to
be exactly the same as the path noted in the above copied formula.

What is the best way of minimizing the impact of this sort of problem?
