Require a password to execute a macro
 

After some searching Have found code examples to accomplish this with a
inopuit box. But the password is not hidden when entered. I believe
user form would accomplish this, buty i am clueless as to how to writ
the code for a password required which is hidden by characters such a
asteriks. Any help would be appreciated.

Look at the property: PasswordChar of the textbox control.
Make it something like * and it will do exactly what you want.

the "code" is the macro. ineed a setup which will not allow a macro t
run unless a password is entered. But I need the password to onl
display astericks when entered. I am not knowlegable to create this.
am looking for some help which I could just put into excel

I still don't understand what the precise problem is.
I am sure it is something simple to solve, but you will have to explain
better what exactly you are trying to do.
