Changing shading based on a row above
Hi all, some of you may have read a previous post on the same subject. I've developed my idea a bit further now - but need some help. please see the attached spreadsheet. I have written macros that will process each row in turn. for each row it uses the value in column C to pattern that number o cell starting from the first cell with a yello/orage colour. the macro then goes through each subsequent row, doing the same thing. you'll notice I have now added initials in column 'E' what I hope to do, is have a macro that will delay a second task tha has the same initials, if the pattern goes over the yellow blocks. in the sheet, Task 1 has overshot by 2 days (pattern over a whit background) Task 3 has the same initials, so I want to move the coloured portio along by 2 days. can anyone suggest how to do this? thanks in advance, Mat -- matp ----------------------------------------------------------------------- matpj's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=2107 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=53412 |
