trying to automatically populate database from intake form
I'm completely new to Excel and have managed to get a workbook
established that has an intake form on one worksheet('SCORING TEMPLATE'!) to iput data from paper and pencil forms that is sent to another worksheet('PROCESSORS'!) where calculators process the raw data into Z-scores, T-scores, etc. I have created several database pages(Database1 .. 2, ) for the processed data to be stored for analysis. What I would like to have happen is that each time the scoring template worksheet is opened and filled with data, I would like for Excel to take the subsequent processed data from the Processors worksheet and go find the next available column in the Database worksheets and popuate it with the information. I also wish for Excel to take all of the data entered in both raw form on the scoring template worksheet and processed form from the processors worksheet, together with an additional worksheet (Report) and automatically save them in a file named after the cell on the scoring template worksheet containing the subject's name to whom the data belongs. Is this possible to do with VBA and if so, how would I proceed? I need for the process to be as automatic as possible to avoid human error in remembering to save the data in a particular fashion for future reference. I certainly know even less about VBA but am willing to input the code if someone can tell me how to get started. Thanks to anyone for spending time to help.
