save Workbook
Hi I want to create a macro that Saves the workbook with the value of cell.. However I want the user to be able to choose the destination but not the filename. How can I do this? And it would also be great to set a defult save folder for the user. i.e. When the user saves the document through my macro, it then save the chosen destination folder, and stores this for next time the macr runs... So next time he wants to save, it automatically chooses this folder.. -- Ctec ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ctech's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=2774 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=52955 |
save Workbook
thisworkbook.Path
gives you the path of the workbook. This page at John Walkenbach's site shows how to display the folder selection dialog: http://www.j-walk.com/ss/excel/tips/tip29.htm this uses the API. there are scripting solutions as well and in xl2002/3 you can use the FileDialog object. Chdir will change the current directory. ThisWorkbook.SaveAs allows you to save the workbook where you specify. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Ctech" wrote: Hi I want to create a macro that Saves the workbook with the value of a cell..
