How to create a PDF document with VBA?
Hi
I'd like to create a pdf document with vba, but I don't own the adobe acrobat writer (it's too expensive). Is it possible to do it with a third party writer which costs at maximum $100? If yes, can you please provide an example? Tom |

Hello Tom
You could easily do this with CutePdf which is freeware. http://www.cutepdf.com/ Also it would amount to a very basic vba routine since you would only have to specify the CutePdf printer before launching a printout command! HTH Cordially Pascal |

I use PDF995, which sets itself up as a printer. To create a PDF
document, all you do is print to the PDF995 "printer". http://www.pdf995.com/ For what its worth, the next version of Excel, due out at the end of the year, will have PDF support built right in to Excel. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com "Tom" wrote in message ... Chip
I downloaded the PDF995-writer and created the folowing macro: Sub Print_PDF() ActiveSheet.PrintOut _ ActivePrinter:="PDF995 on Ne03:", _ PrintToFile:=True, _ PrToFilename:="C:\Temp\Test.pdf" End Sub The pdf file was created but I'm not able to open it with the Adobe Acrobat Reader. The error message 'unknown format' appears. Any ideas? Tom "Chip Pearson" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... I use PDF995, which sets itself up as a printer.
