personal book will not open
Hi
I have PERSONAL.xls in my C:\Documents and Settings\BMazur\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART When I open Excel my Personal book does not open and I can't get to my macros. I deleted my old Personal book and started new one by recording a simple macro. By doing that I created a new Personal book in my XLSTART, but it does not open automaticaly. I thought everything in XLSTART opens automaticaly when you start Excel. Any sugestions? Barb |
personal book will not open
thank you, it was disabled
I've got my macos back... Thanks Barb "Tom Ogilvy" wrote: go to help=About Microsoft Office Excel. in the resulting dialog, go to a button at the bottom entitled Disabled Items... If personal.xls is listed there, select it and hit the enabled button. If Excel has a problem with a file, it will often isolate it here. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Barb" wrote: Hi Tom Thanks for your reply. I don't have two Personal books there. In My XLSTART I only have book.xlt and Personal.xls I checked Genaral Options in book.xlt and "At startup open all files in" is empty. I mapped it to XLSTART, but it does not save this folder address. After I click OK on my options and go back to it it's still empty. I'm puzzled. Then close excel and replace that with your original. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Barb" wrote: Hi I have PERSONAL.xls in my C:\Documents and Settings\BMazur\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART When I open Excel my Personal book does not open and I can't get to my macros.
