Split text , uniformly paste in rows and columns.
HI I have the text in the notepad imported from a file. DATE FINAL DATE NAME AMT1 AMT2 VALUE 3/31/2003 6/02/2003 THOMAS 4.950 15.00 693.00 3/31/2003 6/02/2003 HARI 7.220 15.00 693.00 3/31/2003 6/02/2003 THOMAS 4.950 15.00 693.00 and so on... Now from the notepad , i had pasted in the excel column A. this shows the record in column A. how can i write a macro to paste the fields each on a column. You don't need to. Just do Data=Text to Columns and walk through the
wizard.
