Excel Date Question
T created a spreadsheet with a Date column and want the format to be 02/19/06
but I want to be able to type in the six digits without typing in the slashes. Typing in today's date of 021906, you get 12/22/59, the 21,906th day of (last) century. Is these a way to format the cell to be able to type just 6 digits and get the correct date? Thanks |
Excel Date Question
Hi Sandy,
As far as I know, you must type the slashes when entering dates. If your just looking for an easy way to enter today's date, use Ctrl+; to have Excel enter it for you. It will display in the date format you specified.
