Publishing my excel workbook on the web
Hi,
I have an excel dashboard which I mail to the client on a weekly basis. This dashboard has some macros and controls on it which allow the client to view different summaries of data and charts. Now, my manager wants this dashboard to be converted to a web page which the client can access through a web browser. I have no knowledge of HTML or web programming. Saving the workbook as web page does not help as the controls and macros on the workbook are not working. Can anyone suggest some simple ideas / tricks to solve the problem. I have no knowledge of HTML and can't learn it so soon. I have quite decent knowledge of VBA and can use it. Any suggestions would be welcome and really appreciated. Thanks SG |
Publishing my excel workbook on the web
SG,
The same thing happened to me with a weekly report template I made. The data center would import district specific data into it and email it to the proper district management. Each management would then run my code to analyze their data. As with you, they thought my report could better serve everyone on a intranet web site. The data center could just upload all district data in one heap, and each manager could select by district what to analyze. Now you need to do as I did. Tell them they need to hire a web development service and gave them a few names of developers that contribute to this newsgroup. That was a year ago. The one company they tried fell through because they could not duplicate the accuracy of my report. My report is still being emailed. Good Luck. Mike F "SG" wrote in message ups.com...
