Excel FTP
 

I don't know if there is an Add-on
however I do know that at least Xcel 2003 has that capability built in
in FileSave As menu,
in your locations drop down box you can
Add/Edit FTP locations
once you have one set-up you can write code to save to it like a normal
location or a network location.
Or save the files manually
'or conversely get an FTP uploader - search google for FTP Commander, it's
Free and simple to use.

you're right, ben. and i remember using this feature long ago in xl 2k (and
maybe even in xl97,not sure)
