May I ask for a formula please?

I am new to this.

Cell K1 will display the current date, if cell L1 is equal or less than
current date then it will display letter "Y" in cell M1.

Many thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,

A simple formula to be typed in cell M1 :
=if(L1<=K1,"Y","N")

Use the IF function,

=IF(L1<=K1,"Y","N")

if L1 is less than or equal to K1, put a Y in the current cell, otherwise
put an N in the current cell.

In K1 enter = TODAY()
L1 your date
In M1 enter = IF( L1K1,"","Y")

If you want "N" in M1 if condition is not met then formula for M1 will
be

=IF(L1K1,"N","Y")
