VB Question
Hi, I have written within VB a number of routines whcih involve loops. I summary a sheet is created by opening other workbooks and grabbin information from each and appending to my master sheet. There are no formulas. Although it is simple enough to do tis the end result is the maste worksheet when saved is approximately 3MB (even thought there i minimal data) Can anyone suggest anything (i.e. like within Access where yo compress/compact and repair the database) Thanks, Ajay -- atreo ----------------------------------------------------------------------- atreon's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=3105 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=50722 |

VB Question
You might have unused rows in the workbook that are currently formatted. Try
deleting entire rows from the row directly below the last row of data to the end of the worksheet in each worksheet in the workbook. -- Kevin Backmann "atreon" wrote: Hi, I have written within VB a number of routines whcih involve loops. VB Question
Hi Ajay...Sometimes worksheets go "bad". Cycle through your workbook
one worksheet at a time. Insert a new sheet, copy and paste from the old sheet, delete the old sheet, then save and close your workbook and see which old sheet(s), when deleted, significantly reduced your file size. If this is the source of the problem, then you can add a few lines to your macro and have your macro do this for you when you next update your master...Ron |
