Can I create a dimension with undefined multiple levels, pivot table.
 
I have a table in SQL Server 2005 Express, and I want to use it as a
multiple level dimension, with the following structu
Id, Name, Parent

It is a Tree, I will mix it with the fact table in a view, I want to use it
as a dimension level. can I do it in Excel ?

Hi

Excel can pull data from sql server.
1. Tools/PivotTable and Pivot Chart report
2. External Data source--Next
3. Get Data
4. Database/New DataSource
5. DataSource name(any you want),
Driver: SQL,
Connect(SQL server name), Options(Database: select the database we want)
Select a defaul table
6. Click OK
7. Select three fields in the query
8 .Next multiple times until finish
9, Now we have a pivot table field list with three fields
we can add them to the row/column/Page/Data Area.

This newsgroup is mainly for Excel programming, this issue seems to be more
related with how to create a pivottable in excel.
