Excel Format-Cells-Number for Zip Codes
Frequently I am asked to create mailing lists - I use Excel so that I can
export to Word for labels, and also to ACT for entry into my Database. In Excel you can highlight a column of numbers, use Format - Cells - Number to make all cells dates, currency, etc. It would be nice if someone could add Zip Code, so that if you type in a 0 (zero) in the beginning (for Eastern Zip Codes), you wouldn't have to type an apostrophe before typing the number - example - North Oxford, MA's zip code is 01537, but you have to type in '01537 (slows down my speed) ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
