This is embarrassing - I lost my Macro recorder button!
 

I exited by the Macro recorder button and now I can't find it! I've checked
the view menus - where is it? I'm using Excel 97. Thanks

This is embarrassing - I lost my Macro recorder button!
 

Start recording a macro (just a dummy one to delete later)
View|toolbars|select "stop recording"

Then don't use that X to close that toolbar <vbg.
