I've been looking for an Excel s/s that will perform financial ROI's,
including periodic additons/withdrawals, such as the online app found at
http://cgi.money.cnn.com/tools/retur...returnrate.jsp.

I've searched high and low to no avail.

I want this app for a website that tracks investments for its users for a
particular 401 sort of pension plan.

Use the built in IRR Excel Function (Internal Rate Of Return)

It is design to compute equivalent interest rate in arbitrary cash flow
situations such as those encounter in Real Estate Deals.

Be aware that computation of the IRR requires an iterative procedure by
the machine.
